Your clients' SEO traffic is falling by 27% a year. Meanwhile, traffic coming from LLMs has tripled. And it converts better. HubSpot drew the conclusions from this shift in its Spring Spotlight 2026, presented on April 14: each of the 5 major new features in this edition starts from the same observation: most AI tools have access to data. What they lack is context.
- Prospecting Agent now covers the entire prospecting cycle from within HubSpot.
- Smart Deal Progression turns every meeting into CRM updates and a pre-drafted follow-up.
- HubSpot AEO measures and improves your brand's visibility in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity answers.
- Customer Agent resolves 70% of email tickets on average, with a gradual rollout.
- Breeze Assistant finally becomes a real expert on your data, not a generator of generic advice.
1. Prospecting Agent: all of your prospecting in one place
Until now, the Prospecting Agent helped sales reps prepare their outreach to contacts they already knew. Useful, but limited. Reps still had to find target accounts elsewhere, look up contacts on LinkedIn, build lists manually, then come back to HubSpot to send.
With this update, the agent covers the full cycle: identifying accounts that show buying signals, sourcing the right people in the buying committee, and generating personalized emails for approval before sending. All from HubSpot.
What changes in practice
|
Before |
Now |
|
Manual research of target accounts across several tools |
The agent monitors buying signals continuously (funding rounds, hiring, tech changes) |
|
Contacts sourced from LinkedIn or third-party databases, often incomplete |
Contacts identified and enriched via ZoomInfo or Apollo directly in HubSpot |
|
Emails written from scratch or generic templates |
Highly personalized pre-drafted emails, based on signals and CRM history |
|
Static lists to refresh manually |
Daily priority queue, updated automatically |
A concrete example
A 300-person IT services company wants to develop a new market segment in finance. Its sales reps have no dedicated SDR. Every week, they spend 4 to 5 hours researching accounts and building lists.
With the Prospecting Agent configured on the relevant signals (job postings for RevOps profiles in banks, digital transformation announcements, etc.), each rep receives every morning a list of high-potential accounts with the buying committee contacts identified and pre-drafted emails. The rep approves, adjusts if needed, and sends. The gain: 3 to 4 hours saved per rep per week.
Markentive tip: this agent becomes more relevant as your ICP is well defined in HubSpot and your historical deal data is reliable. The agent learns from your won deals, not from a generic model. If your CRM is approximate, its suggestions will be too.

2. Smart Deal Progression: what is said in meetings ends up in the CRM
Sales teams share a common problem: after a meeting, the important information stays in the rep's head. The key objection raised by the CFO, the budget mentioned, the decision date dropped in passing. All of it exists, but never reaches the CRM.
Result: follow-up goes out late, the pipeline is inaccurate, and management steers with data that reflects the situation from three weeks ago.
Smart Deal Progression connects each meeting transcript to the deal's full history in HubSpot. Not just the last exchange, but everything: past emails, notes, previous stages, forecasting logic. It produces editable suggestions with quotes from the transcript: stage update, revised amount, next steps, draft follow-up email.
What changes in practice
|
Before |
Now |
|
The rep writes down what they remember, often from memory |
HubSpot analyzes the transcript and proposes CRM updates with quotes |
|
The CRM is updated when the rep has time, sometimes never |
The rep approves in 3 minutes and the CRM is updated right away |
|
The follow-up email goes out 24 to 48 hours later, without the full context |
Pre-drafted follow-up email, based on the transcript AND the history |
|
Management does not really know where deals stand |
Reliable real-time pipeline, without chasing each rep |
A concrete example
A large management consulting group deploys HubSpot to 20 sales directors, each managing 8 to 12 deals at the same time with buying committees of 5 to 8 people. After each prospect steering committee, HubSpot analyzes the transcript and proposes: moving the deal to “Proposal”, a revised amount, two new contacts identified (CIO and CFO), and a pre-drafted follow-up email summarizing the commitments made. The director approves in 3 minutes. Management has a reliable pipeline without chasing anyone.
Markentive tip: for the suggestions to be relevant, you need clearly defined deal stages and documented CRM properties. If your pipeline is vague, the suggested updates will be too. It is a good indicator of the quality of your setup.

3. HubSpot AEO: does your brand exist in LLM answers?
When your prospect looks for a HubSpot integrator on ChatGPT or Gemini, does your name appear? Does it appear in a favorable way? Until now, nobody could answer this question with reliable data.
This is the problem HubSpot AEO addresses. The tool measures in real time your brand's visibility in answers generated by LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity), analyzes the sources that influence these answers, benchmarks your presence against your competitors, and proposes priority actions to improve your score.
The figures speak for themselves: according to HubSpot data, organic SEO traffic across its customer base fell by 27% in one year. Over the same period, traffic from LLMs tripled. And this traffic converts better.
What HubSpot AEO does in practice
The tool is built around five key features:
- Brand Visibility Dashboard: a visibility score for your brand per LLM (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity), so you know exactly where you are present and where you are absent.
- Competitor Analysis: your share of voice against your competitors in AI answers, to measure the gap and identify opportunities.
- Prompt Tracking & Suggestions: the real questions your buyers ask LLMs and your visibility in those answers. For Marketing Hub users, prompt suggestions are based on your actual CRM data.
- Citation Analysis: the sources LLMs consult to talk about you and your competitors. This is what explains why you appear, or not.
- Actionable recommendations: a prioritized list of content to create or update to improve your visibility, connected to HubSpot's content tools.
What HubSpot does that others do not
On core features, HubSpot is on par with specialized tools such as Profound, Semrush or Ahrefs. Three points make the difference:
- Actionable recommendations are included natively, at no extra cost. Profound and Semrush offer them as a paid option.
- Integration with HubSpot's content creation tools: from recommendation to production, everything happens in the same environment.
- Prompt suggestions based on CRM data: no standalone tool can offer this, because they have no access to your customer history.
What sets the version built into Marketing Hub apart
Competing AEO tools (Profound, Scrunch…) ask you to guess the prompts your prospects use in LLMs. The problem: if your intuition is wrong, you optimize for queries nobody asks.
The version built into Marketing Hub Pro and Enterprise starts from your CRM: it analyzes your call transcripts, your emails and your contacts' behavior to identify the wording your real buyers use. The suggested prompts reflect your business reality, not a generic industry assumption.
A concrete example
The CMO of a digital transformation consulting firm (800 people, present in 5 European countries) wants to know whether the firm is visible when its prospects ask about CRM transformation in large enterprises. She sets up HubSpot AEO. Result: the firm appears in 14% of answers on its key queries, versus 38% for its main competitor. The citation analysis shows her which content feeds these answers. She identifies three content angles to develop to close the gap.
Markentive tip: AEO is an emerging topic, and the time to act is now, while positions are not yet locked in. The longer you wait, the further ahead competitors who have already optimized their content for LLMs will get.

4. Customer Agent: scale your support without hiring
Ticket volume is growing. Support teams can no longer keep up. The obvious solution would be to hire. But hiring takes time, costs money, and the same problem comes back as soon as volume rises again.
Customer Agent addresses this equation by automating repetitive requests on the email channel, the highest-volume channel in most organizations. The key new feature in this Spotlight: granular control. Before, it was all or nothing. Now, teams choose the level of autonomy they give the agent.
What changes in practice
|
Before |
Now |
|
Binary deployment: on or off |
Gradual deployment: start with X% of the volume |
|
No way to test on a subset of tickets |
Optional review before sending, to check quality before opening the floodgates |
|
No configurable time slots |
Configurable time slots (nights or weekends only, for example) |
|
Abrupt handoff to a human, without context |
Smooth handoff with the full CRM context already loaded for the human agent |
A concrete example
A B2B software publisher with 3,000 active customers. Its support team of 12 agents receives 500 tickets a week. 60% are repetitive questions about configuration or billing. The Monday morning backlog has become structural.
They deploy Customer Agent on emails received outside business hours, in review-before-sending mode. For 3 weeks, they approve every draft. The quality is there. They switch to autonomous mode for standard billing questions. Result: 2 hours saved per agent per day, backlog eliminated, and a team refocused on complex tickets and key accounts.
The figures
|
70% Average resolution rate Customer Agent alone |
90% Top performers With a well-tuned knowledge base |
+50% Tickets resolved Customer Agent + Help Desk combined |
Markentive tip: the agent's performance is directly tied to the quality of your knowledge base. A well-configured agent on an up-to-date KB reaches up to 90% resolution. With an incomplete or outdated KB, it stays at 30-40%. The technology does not replace documentation work.

5. Breeze Assistant: a marketing assistant that knows your business
Breeze Assistant already existed. But it produced generic marketing advice, with no grounding in your data. Useful to get past a blank page, insufficient to steer a strategy.
This Spotlight update changes that. Breeze Assistant becomes an expert in HubSpot's Loop Marketing methodology and, above all, it relies on your actual CRM data: your ICP, your past campaigns, your web analytics, your brand guidelines. It adapts its advice to the user's role: a marketer and a sales rep do not receive the same recommendations.
What changes in practice
|
Before |
Now |
|
Generic marketing answers with no grounding in your data |
Recommendations grounded in your CRM, your campaigns, your analytics |
|
No knowledge of your ICP or your campaign performance |
Expert on your ICP and your conversion history |
|
Same type of answer whatever the user's role |
Guidance tailored to the role (marketing, sales, admin) |
|
Content generated without alignment with your brand guidelines |
Outputs automatically aligned with your brand settings |
A concrete example
An industrial company (700 employees, 4 people on the marketing team) wants to launch its first ABM campaign on a new market segment. It has no prior ABM experience. Without Breeze Assistant, this requires outside support or weeks of internal research.
With Breeze Assistant, the team builds its ICP from CRM data (industries, company sizes, buying behavior of existing customers), outlines its messaging by persona, and structures its first campaign brief. Work that would have taken several days of workshops takes a few hours. And the result is grounded in data, not in assumptions.
Markentive tip: as with the other features in this Spotlight, the quality of the outputs depends directly on the richness of your CRM. A well-configured portal with clean data gives you a relevant assistant. A poorly structured portal gives you vague advice.

6. Other updates not to miss
Beyond the 5 headline features, this Spotlight includes more than 100 updates. Three deserve the attention of marketing and sales teams.
Intent & Enrichment: a CRM that updates itself
Data Enrichment automatically enriches your contact and company records with missing data, without manual work. Good news on pricing: it used to cost credits, and it is now included in Starter+ subscriptions.
Buyer Intent goes further: the tool continuously monitors buying intent signals on your target accounts (website visits, active research on topics related to your business, news signals such as a strategic hire, a funding round or a partnership). When an account shows a signal, it surfaces in your CRM with the context. And if a key contact leaves a customer company for a non-customer company, Buyer Intent automatically creates a new lead. Warm relationships are no longer lost.
Markentive tip: Intent & Enrichment is the foundation the 5 headline features rely on. A Prospecting Agent without enriched data and intent signals works blind. It is often the first thing we configure before activating agents.
Native Reddit integration: taking part, not just posting
HubSpot now integrates Reddit natively. From the platform, marketing teams can identify relevant conversations, join threads and post their replies directly. This calls for a different approach: Reddit is not managed like LinkedIn or Instagram. Its communities are particularly wary of brands that simply broadcast. Used with tact, it is a serious lever for B2B tech and SaaS brands whose buyers are active on the platform.
TikTok Ads: management and attribution in HubSpot
TikTok Ads campaigns can now be managed directly from HubSpot: creation, management, reporting and full attribution to contacts, deals and tickets. For teams investing in TikTok for B2B (the channel is growing among 25 to 40 year-old audiences), this ends manual exports and approximate attribution.
What all these features have in common
Five different tools. A single common thread: their performance is directly proportional to the quality of your HubSpot infrastructure. This is not an implementation detail. It is the central condition for success.
A Prospecting Agent without a documented ICP suggests off-target accounts. Smart Deal Progression without a structured pipeline proposes irrelevant updates. HubSpot AEO without CRM history generates generic prompts. A Customer Agent with an incomplete KB resolves 30% of tickets instead of 90%. Breeze Assistant on an approximate portal gives advice with nothing to base it on.
The contextual advantage HubSpot highlights in this Spotlight does not come automatically. You build it over months, through the quality of your deployment, your data and your governance. Organizations that have done this work will gain a significant advantage from these features. The others will have them, but will not really use them.
This is where an integrator's expertise makes the difference. Not only during the initial deployment, but over time: structuring the right pipelines, defining ICPs precisely, documenting deal stages, maintaining data governance, training teams to adopt the right habits. This groundwork is invisible in a demo. It determines the results.
Key takeaways from this Spotlight
With this edition, HubSpot delivers a set of useful features. The Prospecting Agent finally becomes a complete prospecting tool. Smart Deal Progression solves a real problem found in every sales team. AEO answers an urgent question about visibility in LLMs. Customer Agent finally provides the granular control that was missing to deploy with confidence. Breeze Assistant is no longer generic.
The question is not whether these features are worth it. It is whether your HubSpot environment is in a state to use them.
If your data is clean, your processes documented and your team well trained, this is an opportunity to seize now. If not, now is the right time to do this work, before the gap with competitors who have already done it widens further.
